Conveyor systems

The conveyor system consists of the following components:

  • Drive Units

Conveyor drive units consist of a continuously rated electric motor driving through a totally enclosed gear reduction unit.

  • Couplings

Integral flexible couplings are installed between motor and gear.

  • Speed Reducers

Speed reducers are mounted on a shafts with a bevel-helical hollow

shaft type gear or planetary type with self aligning or taper roller bearings suitably sealed against ingress of moisture or dust.

  • Holdbacks

Ascending belt conveyors are provided with an anti run-back device. Connected to the speed reducers, when necessary to prevent the fully loaded conveyor from reversing for any reason.

  • Belting

Conveyor belts are supplied from an approved manufacturer and are of materials and strength in accordance with your requests.

  • Belt Pulleys

Pulleys are built of welded steel plates with hubs built of welded steel plates. All pulleys working by the dirty side of the belt are provided with hot vulcanized rubber lagging.

  • Belt alignment

The conveyor belts alignment will be taken care of by Anfeya belt alignment rollers in positions applicaple.

  • Idlers

Idlers are provided with self lubricating “sealed for life” ball bearings. The idlers are provided with effective labyrinth type of sealings.

  • Belt cleaners

Special attention are given to the design of the belt cleaners to ensure

that the belts are suitably cleaned and the spillage under the conveyor will be minimized. The material removed by the belt cleaning devices will fall into the chutes.

  • Conveyor frame

Conveyor frame is made of mild steel.

  • Walkways,maintenance platforms and stairs

Transfer towers and buildings have platforms/ stairs/ walkways.

  • Chutes

Chute material is painted carbon steel and lined at areas exposed to material impact, cleaner material spillage with wear plates.

  • Electrical field devices

The conveyors are provided with pull cord emergency switches, consisting of a single concentric pull wire, running along the full length of the both side of conveyor.

LOADING HOPPER

The Loading Hopper receives the material from the bucket crane.

  • hopper in welded and bolted steel plate construction with all necessary stiffeners and supports;
  • wearing plates of steel;
  • full size opening grid of steel;
  • cladding of the walls and roof with isolation;
  • cladding of the bottom with isolation;
  • main supporting frame in welded and bolted sectional construction;
  • discharge chute with wearing plates of steel;
  • Included in the hopper is a NeedleGate.

VIBRATORY FEEDERS

The vibrating feeder are executed in mild steel and delivered complete with inlet funnel. Suspension system and rubber sealing including connection frame at outlet.

Materials for the construction of the vibrating feeder:

  • Pans – Carbon steel
  • Liners – stainless steel replaceable plate
  • Frame – carbon steel.

MAGNETIC SEPARATOR

Electromagnetic separator, manual cleaning type are provided for extraction and retrieval of ferrous magnetic pieces from the conveyed material.

Main characteristics:

– Type: Electromagnetic, manual cleaning type

– Location: Longitudinal over the discharge of belt conveyor

Equipment units:

-Electromagnetic separator consists of a coil completely enclosed.

– Suspension slings (lugs, for lifting) with stiffeners in order to adjust the height over the conveyor.

-Frame chute and frame box

-Electrical cabinet

-Hoist beam, to support the frame of the magnetic separator (trolley type).

TRIPPER CAR

The Tripper car is usually installed in a belt conveyor to transport the petr coke through the conveyor belt to one of the petcoke storage compartments.

The construction of the overhead tripper car is divided into the following sub-assemblies:

-Tripper car belt conveyor

-Travel drive

-Structural steelwork

-Electrical equipment

SAMPLING STATION

The cross belt sampler is designed to extract a representative sample of material being transported on a belt. Representability is established by extracting a complete cross section fromthe conveyor belt.

The sampling station consists of

BELT SCALE

Coke belt scale systems are used for accurately weighing large quantities of coke

and they have the following main components:

  • A precision weighing platform
  • Belt speed sensor (s), with speed sensor pulley / roller
  • Controller / Integrator with the purpose of indicator-totalizer to control and monitoring.

The belt scale system consists of a weight scale bridge structure supported on load cells and a belt speed sensor. All of these devices are located on the belt conveyor. The material weight on the belt is measured by a load cell, which produces a voltage signal directly proportional to kg/m units.
